This Wednesday, January 7, the “general mobilization” will take place, the march called by President Petro, a day that will have its epicenter in the Plaza de Bolívar in Bogotá at 4:00 pm, where the president will give a speech that promises to be historic.

Petro’s marches are not just any call; They occur at the moment of greatest tension with the White House, after the capture of Nicolás Maduro in Caracas by US forces and recent warnings from Donald Trump.

The fuse that lit this mobilization was Trump’s explosive statements aboard Air Force One, where he described Petro as a “sick man” and suggested that Colombia could be the next target of a military operation similar to the one carried out in Venezuela.

Given this, the Colombian president responded firmly on his social networks: “They want to turn us into colonies. Killing humanity is killing their own children,” he assured.

In Medellín, the meeting point will be Parque Bicentenario (Barrio Boston) at 3:00 pm, and then march towards La Alpujarra.

In Bogotá, the Plaza de Bolívar is expected to be packed to hear the head of state, who has received the full support of his cabinet.
