The wait for the electromobility giant is over. Tesla, the American manufacturer led by Elon Musk, today made its official launch in Colombia with the promise of transforming the automotive market. The arrival of the brand establishes a milestone by introducing a direct presence model and vehicles with competitive entry prices.

The company, legally constituted as Tesla Motors Colombia SAS, made its presentation in Bogotá, confirming that it is entering the country with its two most successful models globally: the Model 3 and the Model Y.

Prices and Entry Portfolio

The prices, previously leaked on its official website and confirmed today by Tesla’s Country Manager for Colombia, Karen Scarpetta, seek to compete strongly in the electric segment:

Tesla Model 3 (Sedan): Its entry price starts at $109,990,000 pesos in the Rear-Wheel Drive version.

Tesla Model Y (SUV Crossover): Starts from $119,990,000 pesos.

The most affordable version of the Model 3 offers a range of close to 520 kilometers, a figure that is competitive with the current offering on the market. The brand also made Long Range and Performance versions of both models available to the public.

Complete Ecosystem and Expansion in Colombia

Tesla will operate with a direct online sales model, eliminating middlemen and distributors. The first experience and after-sales service points will be located in the Centro Andino in Bogotá and in the El Tesoro shopping center in Medellín.

Tesla’s entry was celebrated by President Gustavo Petro, who on November 18 welcomed the company, aligning its arrival with the national policy to promote clean energy. The first units ordered are expected to arrive in the hands of their owners between the end of January and the beginning of February 2026.
