Minute30.com .- Crime in the capital of the Atlantic does not let up, and this time the victim was one of the greatest figures in Colombian sports. The Major League player, Giovanny Urshela from Cartagena, reported through his social networks that criminals entered his residence in Barranquilla to steal objects of great value.

The theft occurred while the third baseman and his family were outside the home, a moment that was taken advantage of by the assailants to enter the home with surgical precision.

A direct attack on your privacy

According to Urshela’s own account, the criminals did not search the entire house at random; They headed directly to the main room. “Criminals took the opportunity to enter and go directly to the room where I sleep with my wife and daughter, to take jewelry and valuable objects,” the baseball player expressed indignantly.

Despite the considerable material loss, Urshela sent a message of calm regarding his loved ones, although he did not hide his concern about the state of insecurity in the city:

“Fortunately we were outside. The most important thing is the integrity of my family,” he added, calling on citizens to be alert to their immediate surroundings.

Authorities on the trail of the jewels

The Barranquilla Metropolitan Police and the Prosecutor’s Office have already been notified of the event. According to official sources, the corresponding investigations are being carried out, reviewing security cameras in the sector and collecting fingerprint evidence to find the whereabouts of those responsible.

It is presumed that the thieves knew exactly what they were looking for and knew the family’s movements, so the authorities do not rule out that they are an organized gang dedicated to the theft of high-value homes.
