Bogotá has become the new movement board for the FARC dissidents. According to confidential military intelligence reports known to Caracol Radio, the main leaders of the alias ‘Calarcá’ structure moved to the country’s capital during 2024, using the city as a transit logistics center.
The documents detail that these transfers were not accidental, but rather obey an organized network of national mobility that connects critical areas of Antioquia and Catatumbo with the heart of the central administration.
The investigation reveals that criminals of the stature of aliases ‘Jhon Mechas’, ‘Ramiro’ and ‘El Panda’ (some linked to peace processes and others with current arrest warrants) entered Bogotá to coordinate supply, communications and logistics tasks.

Intelligence detected routes that began in Antioquia municipalities such as Anorí, Briceño and Tarazá, crossing the country in vehicles and motorcycles until reaching the capital, where they remained for short periods before jumping to other regions.
Even figures such as alias ‘Leo’ or ‘Firu’, who have no ties to dialogue tables, would have participated in this dynamic of national mobility.
Faced with these revelations, the mayor of Medellín, Federico Gutiérrez, launched harsh criticism of the National Government.
The president assured that the FARC has been strengthened thanks to the “complacency” of the current administration and that the so-called “Total Peace” It has served as a license for these groups to operate with total economic and military freedom.
“This pandering cannot continue”declared the mayor, while the security agencies continue to track these ringleaders who, despite the dialogues, continue to articulate their armed structures from the shadows of the city.
