The complainant, identified as Selena, 23 years old, decided to publicly expose what she had been experiencing for months to prevent more women from continuing to be violated.

According to what the young woman told Noticias Caracol, the official, identified as José Arturo, arrived at her workplace at the Sixth Municipal Police Inspection and began to throw obscene comments at her while trying to touch her.

In the video, the man is seen wearing a dark cap, black glasses and a brown jacket as he approaches the guard, calls her “mamacita” and caresses her face even though she insistently tells him not to touch her.

The situation escalated quickly: the inspector went so far as to grope her and touch her breasts, while insisting on comments such as “rich mom,” “I’m going to steal her,” and other phrases. At one point, he even took her hand and forcibly took it towards her private parts.

Selena assures that this behavior was not an isolated incident. Since January, when she started working at the place, the man harassed her with insinuations and insistent phrases like “you have to be mine.”

Other women who had contact with the official confirmed that they had also been victims of similar behavior and decided to support the complaint.

While the investigation progresses, groups and authorities reiterated the call not to remain silent in the face of any form of gender-based violence and recalled the available hotlines: 155 nationwide and the Purple Line in Bogotá.
