The Mayor’s Office of Medellín, through the Institute of Sports and Recreation (Inder), announced the opening of sports pre-registrations for the strategies with the greatest demand in the city, a process that will be enabled between January 16 and 25, 2026 through the SIMON 2.0 platform.
The measure seeks to organize access to places and guarantee that children, young people, adults and seniors can participate equitably in the sports and recreational activities offered by the institute.
Sports pre-registrations apply especially for high-demand modalities such as hydroaerobics, swimming, skating, field tennis and other aquatic activities.
From Inder they explained that this mechanism allows users to be classified according to their age and profile, facilitating the assignment of places and avoiding congestion in the system.
“We invite you to visit our website and pay attention to our communication channels. Remember that all sports offers are free and that we are waiting for you so that this year we can do sports, physical activity and recreation,” said Juliana Vélez, deputy director of Development at Inder Medellín.

The entity recalled that it is essential to search for each program by its exact name within SIMON 2.0, since in this way the system shows the available places according to the age ranges and the characteristics of each strategy.
Among the options enabled are Initiation to Movement, aimed at girls and boys between 6 months and 5 years; Sports Initiation in swimming for children from 6 to 9 years old; Sports Training for young people between 10 and 17 years old; and swimming programs for adults over 18 years of age.
The authorities also recommended previously verifying the status of the account in SIMON 2.0, keeping the data updated and confirming that the password is active. To facilitate the process, Inder provided tutorials on its website and official networks.
Finally, the institute reported that on January 25, registration will open for the rest of the sports and recreational offering, which will remain active throughout the year. It should be noted that all activities are free, with the exception of the Suramericana Bowling.
