The Colombian delegation continues to demonstrate its power at the XX Bolivarian Games Ayacucho – Lima 2025, by overcoming the barrier of 200 medals and establishing itself in first place in the medal table.
After the day last Monday, December 1, the country accumulated an impressive total of 216 medals, distributed in 87 gold, 77 silver and 52 bronze.
The start of the athletics competitions in Lima brought with it a historic performance. The figure of the day was Natalia Linares, who not only won gold in the women’s long jump, but also established a new national and Bolivarian record with a mark of 6.95 meters.
For his part, Yerlin Mesa added another gold by obtaining first place in the discus throw with a record of 53.78 meters. In total, the first day of athletics gave Colombia seven medals: two gold, four silver and one bronze.
The Videna Velodrome witnessed a golden harvest for Colombian track cycling, with three new gold medals.
Stefany Cuadrado won the individual women’s keirin, while the duo of Lina Hernández and Elizabeth Castaño led the women’s madison. The balance was completed with Juan Esteban Arango’s silver medal in the omnium.

The emotions of judo began in Videna, adding three new medals to the medal table with Érika Lasso (Silver – 48 kg.); Cindy Mera (Silver – 63 kg.) and María Villalba (Bronze – 57 kg.)
In Ayacucho, taekwondo closed its participation in the competitions with two more medals: silver with the women’s team – 175 kg. TK3 and bronze with the men’s team -210 kg. TK3.
In the discipline as a whole, Colombian taekwondo players achieved an excellent performance with one gold, three silver and four bronze.
Boxing also gave good news from Ayacucho, where Yilmar Velásquez secured his place in the 60-kilogram semifinals after beating Venezuelan Mauwel Solarte by unanimous decision (5-0).
At the Army Riding School in Lima, Mariana England was the national standout by winning the silver medal in individual general mixed dressage (205,617) and the bronze in individual freestyle (69,000).
Finally, tennis began its days at the Lawn Club with victories by María Torres and Carol Lizarazo that classified them to the singles quarterfinals, and the advance to the semifinals of the mixed doubles duo made up of María Pérez and Juan Gómez.
