The Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies (Ideam), through its Special Communiqué number 16, detailed that a predominance of rain is expected in the Andean, Pacific and southern Caribbean regions between February 13 and 15.
Although a new cold front is being monitored in the North Atlantic Ocean, the institute clarified that it will move eastward without generating a direct influence on Colombian soil.
For this Saturday, February 14, a significant increase in rain is expected in the Orinoquía, with pockets of intensity in Meta and Vichada, as well as in the Gulf of Urabá and the south of Bolívar.
In Bogotá, the weather will not be different; Light to moderate rain conditions are expected with greater persistence during the afternoon and evening.

The Ideam warned that the rainy trend will continue until Sunday, especially affecting the Amazon and departments such as Boyacá and Santanderes, which will maintain cloudy skies and rainfall of varying intensity.
Given this behavior of the atmospheric front, the authorities issued a series of alerts to prevent tragedies.
The population is urged to monitor the risk of landslides on roads, especially in high-slope areas, and to avoid taking shelter under trees during thunderstorms.
