Minute30.com .- An alleged criminal was neutralized and another was injured after a confrontation with the National Police in the Doce de Octubre No. 2 neighborhood, in the northwest of Medellín. The events occurred shortly before 11 in the morning on Wednesday, December 17, when a patrol that was carrying out surveillance tasks surprised two subjects in flagrante delicto.
Police reaction to theft
The uniformed officers came face to face with an attempted robbery against a citizen who was traveling on a motorcycle. Upon noticing the police presence, the criminals tried to attack the integrity of the patrol cars, which triggered an immediate response.
In the exchange of shots, the police used their weapons, killing one of the suspects on the spot. The second person involved managed to escape from the scene on foot, although authorities confirmed that he fled injured by a firearm.
The truckers’ motorcycle and the gun were left at the scene.
After the accomplice fled, the criminals left the following items abandoned at the scene:
An AKT motorcycle, on which they traveled to commit the crime.

Units of the Metropolitan Police of the Aburrá Valley are searching for the injured fugitive. For his part, the victim of the robbery was unharmed thanks to the timely intervention of the patrol.
