A tragic event shocked the town of Bosa, south of Bogotá, on December 5, when a woman was murdered while traveling in a vehicle with her two minor children. The authorities reported that the alleged aggressor, identified as Yordano Iguarán, intercepted the vehicle and shot the victim several times, causing his death at the scene.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the man was captured in flagrante delicto by the Bogotá Metropolitan Police when he tried to flee after committing the crime. Subsequently, a guarantee control judge accepted the request of the prosecuting entity and ordered his security measure in a prison center.

Iguarán faces charges of aggravated homicide and manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition, which he did not accept during the accusation made by a prosecutor from the Immediate Reaction Unit (URI) of Bosa.

The case remains under investigation to clarify the exact circumstances of the attack, while the community mourns the loss and demands justice for the victim and her children, who witnessed the deadly attack.
