With the closure of many championships in the world, several players, regulars called up by Néstor Lorenzo to the Colombian National Team, are left without a team for the 2026 World Cup.

It is no secret to anyone that Lorenzo already has his list of those chosen for the World Cup, practically ready, however, what happens in these 6 months is key.

Another of Lorenzo’s regulars has been left without a team. This is Santiago Arias who left Bahia in Brazil.

According to the newspaper Globo Esporte, Arias has already said goodbye to his teammates and has begun his task of finding a team that will keep him in rhythm, prior to the World Cup.

Arias, according to the newspaper, left the Brazilian team after an agreement could not be reached on contractual matters; for Bahia, the amount requested was very high.

With the Colombian National Team, right back Arias started in the games against Australia and New Zealand.

It’s early, but all those who aspire to go to the World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada know that maintaining continuity is a key step to being chosen.
