Minute30.com .- Moments of tension and anguish were experienced by passengers traveling on Line A of the Medellín Metro during the afternoon of this Sunday, January 4, 2026.

According to Citizen Report reached the editorial office of Minute30a violent fight broke out inside one of the cars while the train was traveling between the Bello and Madera stations.

The events occurred at approximately 5:40 pm, at a time when the system was registering a high influx of people returning from their Sunday activities.

Panic among passengers

Witnesses to the incident reported that the tranquility of the trip was broken from one moment to the next. “We didn’t know how it started, but suddenly a crowd broke out and the screams were very loud. People started trying to get away from each other to the ends of the car so as not to get hurt,” said one of the users who witnessed the fight.

Faced with the screams and disorder, the passengers tried to mediate and prevent the fight from escalating.

Once they arrived at the Madera Station, when they opened the door, those involved in the fight came out to continue the fight on the platform and re-entered the car and that was when Metro personnel and the police arrived to separate them “and took the two of them away,” witnesses say.

This unfortunate event occurred at 5:40 pm this Sunday, January 4, on the Bello – Madera route, North-South direction.
