This final victory not only sealed their pass to the knockout round, but also left a positive balance in the collective performance of the 21 players on the squad.
These have kept alive the aspirations to continue advancing in the prestigious World Cup competition.
With the classification already in the bag, the expectation now focuses on Colombia’s next rival.
The pairing system for the round of 32 is complex and is determined by the general performance of the 32 qualifiers after the group stage, following a ranking established by FIFA.
The specific crossing for Colombia, which classifies as second in the group, will be defined by knowing its position in that ranking compared to other second or third classified.

Historical! Colombia U-17 advances to the round of 32 of the World Cup
FIFA has established a matchup scheme that seeks to match the best group winners with the best third parties, and the next winners with group runners-up.
Finally, to the second group against each other, always respecting the premise that teams that shared a group will not be able to face each other at this stage.
The crossing for Colombia (1st second in the ranking vs 8th second, or similar) will be adjusted to comply with this regulation if necessary.
The Colombia Under-17 National Team now awaits the result of the crosses definition with great enthusiasm.
