The Colombian women’s Artistic Gymnastics team had a memorable debut at the XX Bolivarian Games Ayacucho and Lima 2025, winning the silver medal in the team final.

The national athletes demonstrated a high level of consistency, securing a place on the podium from the first day of the discipline.

The Colombian delegation, made up of Sofía Marín, Laura Valentina Pardo, Ginna Escobar, Juliana Ochoa and Alix Valentina Sánchez, added a total of 190,960 points.

This score was the result of a very even and solid performance across the four competing devices.

The gold medal went to Panama, which established itself as the most outstanding team of the day with 196,895 points. The podium was completed by Peru, which took bronze by registering 183,828 units.

In the individual All Around competition, Panamanian Alyiah Lide took gold (50.865 points). Second and third place went to Ecuadorians Alais Perea (50,665) and Nayerly Bohórquez (49,032), respectively.

The best individual performance for Colombia was signed by Sofía Marín, who finished in sixth position with 48,432 points, reaffirming her importance as one of the figures of the team.

Artistic gymnastics will continue with the exciting apparatus finals. Colombia will have the opportunity to add new medals, since it will have representation in the Vault, Uneven Bars, Floor and Balance Beam events.

The team aims to capitalize on this achievement to continue promoting the growth and development of gymnastics in the country.
