Colombia is getting ready for a historic Wednesday at the XX Bolivarian Games Ayacucho-Lima 2025, with the debut of its delegations in the disciplines of surfing and speed canoeing.

These new participations mark the country’s entry into key competitions that promise medals and excitement on the sixth day of the games.

This consolidates the Colombian presence in the regional sports panorama in disciplines that until now had not been part of its Bolivarian agenda.

The speed boating tests will be launched on La Arenilla beach in the Callao district, Lima.

A team of 15 Colombian athletes will compete in kayak and canoe in a calendar that will extend until Friday, November 28.

The discipline offers a wide spectrum of opportunities with a total of 13 events, including five in the men’s category, five in the women’s category and three in the mixed category, with the expectation that the national delegation can stand out in these highly physically and technically demanding categories.

Historic double debut for Colombia in the Bolivarian Games

Simultaneously, the Bolivarian surfing action will move to the Punta Rocas High Performance Center, located in Punta Negra.

Six Colombian athletes will be in charge of making history in the debut of this discipline, competing in various modalities until Sunday, November 30.

Athletes will be challenged in eight competitions including shortboard, longboard, bodyboard and sup race, offering a diverse and dynamic spectacle on the waves of the Pacific.

With its sights set on medals, the country celebrates this important step in the diversification of its sports representation in the regional competition.

The premieres in surfing and speed canoeing not only seek to obtain victories in the medal table of these Bolivarian Games, but also to lay the foundations for the future development of these disciplines in Colombia, demonstrating the potential of its athletes in new sporting scenarios.
