Colombia has consolidated its dominance in the XX Bolivarian Games Ayacucho – Lima 2025, culminating on Sunday, November 30, with an impressive harvest of 83 gold, 67 silver and 48 bronze medals.

The country remains firmly at the top of the medal table thanks to outstanding performances in key sports such as track cycling, diving and billiards.

Track cycling had an overwhelming start at the Videna velodrome. On the first day of competitions, the national delegation demonstrated its power by winning three of the four gold medals in dispute, setting a promising pattern for the rest of the Games.

For its part, diving crowned Colombia as Bolivarian champion of the discipline. The national team closed its participation with a spectacular record of four golds, two silvers and two bronzes after three demanding days.

On the final day, Daniela Zapata took gold in the 1 meter springboard, while Gabriela Rusinque (1 meter springboard) and Leonardo García (10 meter platform) added bronzes.

Billiards also added valuable metals. The women’s 9-ball team, made up of Andrea Cardona and Laura González, won the gold medal.

This achievement adds to the gold obtained on Saturday by Huberney Cataño and Johana Sandoval in the three-cushion mixed team, reinforcing the Colombian presence in this sport.

In surfing, representative Margarita Conde gave the country a silver medal in the longboard event, after facing the Peruvian María Reyes in the final instance and achieving a cumulative score of 8.3.

National baseball debuted with a resounding victory. With an outstanding performance by Tito Luis Polo, Colombia defeated Peru with a score of 11 – 0.

The team is already preparing to face Ecuador this Monday, December 1.

The Colombian Men’s Volleyball Team closed the first phase as an undefeated leader after beating Curacao 3 – 0 (with sets of 25 – 23, 25 – 13 and 25 – 20).

After a day of rest on Monday, the team will compete for the gold medal on Tuesday against the winner of the match between Peru and Venezuela.

In futsal, the national team tied without scores against Panama. With this result, Colombia provisionally leads Group B with two points and will await the definition of the match between Guatemala and Panama to meet its next rival in the final draw.

Finally, in boxing in Ayacucho, Kely Benítez (54 kg) and José Manuel Viáfara (65 kg) secured their passage to the semifinals, keeping alive the hopes of more medals for the country.

Monday, December 1 promises to be another exciting day, with the debut of baseball against Ecuador and the advancement of the keys in boxing.
