The city of Manizales is shocked by a tragic event that occurred in the San Sebastián neighborhood, where a young 22-year-old mother, identified as Silvana Torres, took the life of her own three-year-old daughter and subsequently attempted suicide. The incident has generated deep sadness and indignation in the community.

According to the authorities’ preliminary report, the infanticide occurred inside a home. For reasons that are still a matter of investigation, the 22-year-old woman attacked the little girl with a sharp weapon, causing her serious injuries. Immediately after the attack, Torres self-harmed his neck with the intention of ending his life.
