Alias “El Brother” fell! Mayor Fico Gutiérrez Announces Capture of False Leader Who Stole $1.240 Million in Illegal Lottery
The mayor of Medellín, Federico Gutiérrez (@FicoGutierrez), announced the capture of alias “El Brother”, a man who used the facade of a community leader to defraud vulnerable families in the town of San Antonio de Prado.
According to the mayor’s trill, “El Brother” took advantage of his image as a “neighborhood leader” and the opportunities he had to take photos with the president himself during visits to the sector.
“I probably thought that by posing as a neighborhood leader or by taking photos with me every time I went to San Antonio de Prado, I could rest easy. Well no. We already had him identified thanks to the complaints from the community.”
The criminal is accused of deceiving 37 families through the promise of illegal subdivision, managing to steal from them a sum greater than $1,240 million pesos.
Gutiérrez highlighted that the capture was the result of coordinated work between the Prosecutor’s Office and the National Army, emphasizing the priority of his administration:
“We are not going to allow them to continue profiting at the expense of the most vulnerable people! Alias ”El Brother” was captured… The authority goes all out against the criminals.”
