The Bogotá Metropolitan Police reported on the capture of a 56-year-old man, accused of alleged sexual abuse against three girls aged 5, 6 and 8, events that occurred recurrently from 2021 to November 2025 in the town of Kennedy.
The case came to light after teachers at the educational institution where the minors studied noticed significant changes in their behavior, showing signs of anguish and withdrawal. Concerned about the situation, teachers activated child protection protocols and alerted the authorities.
“The White Code was immediately activated, a mechanism that allows for quick and specialized attention to cases that affect the integrity of minors,” explained Lieutenant Colonel Juan Montilla, commander of the Kennedy Police Station.

After starting the investigation, the authorities were able to determine that the man, identified as the girls’ step-grandfather, had offered 20 million pesos to the victims’ mother with the intention of preventing the abuse from being reported.

Finally, the subject was captured by court order and placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office. A judge of the Republic determined a security measure in the prison while the judicial process against him continues.
The Metropolitan Police recalled the importance of teachers, family members and caregivers remaining alert to any signs of mistreatment or abuse, and reiterated that the White Code is a key tool to protect minors in risk situations.
