Minute30.com .- The Medellín authorities confirmed the identity of the man who was discharged on the night of December 16 in the Santa María de los Ángeles neighborhood, El Poblado sector. This is the Venezuelan José Ángel NV, 26 years old, who entered to try to assault the owner of a commercial establishment.

According to unofficial versions, the deceased approached the owner of the establishment and, under threat of death, demanded his gold chain and watch. However, “el gury”, a city councilor, was there along with his escort driver, who were chatting at the site. Upon noticing the robbery, the bodyguard reacted with his personal firearm to safeguard the lives of those present.

José Ángel NV received a gunshot wound to the head and died instantly. Those who saw it say that the alleged freighter died with the gold chain still clutched in his hand, proof of the theft he was carrying out seconds before being hit.

The case would be classified as a homicide in self-defense, given that the lobbyist’s bodyguard reacted to a real and direct threat in a public establishment. The body of the 26-year-old young man was transferred to Forensic Medicine for the corresponding procedures.
