The Bogotá Police, in coordination with the Attorney General’s Office, managed to capture in flagrante delicto a man and a woman allegedly linked to drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms in the town of Bosa.
According to the institution, those captured coordinated the sale and distribution of drugs by telephone, indicating the type and quantity of narcotics requested. The investigation established that both supplied illicit substances to the criminal groups ‘Patacones’, ‘La Costalera’ and ‘No Copeo’, in addition to using properties to store drugs and weapons that could be used to commit selective homicides in the area.
During two raids and searches in the Porvenir neighborhood, the authorities seized a pistol with a sound suppressor, a 38 caliber revolver, various ammunition, 3,500 grams of marijuana and cocaine, three cell phones, as well as two grameras and other elements for dosing narcotics.

The Police indicated that the drugs were allegedly brought from Villavicencio and sold in local nightclubs. According to reports, this criminal activity generated income of up to 60 million pesos per month.

Those captured were charged with the crimes of trafficking, manufacturing and carrying firearms and trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics, and one of them had a history of drug trafficking and illegal carrying of weapons. A judge of the Republic issued a restraining order against one of the detainees.
So far in 2025, thanks to the different preventive and operational plans, the Bogotá Police have seized more than 7.8 tons of marijuana, 1,385 firearms and have captured 31,046 people for various crimes.
The authorities called on citizens to continue providing timely information that allows the identification and prosecution of other criminal actors that affect security in the capital, through Emergency Line 123.
