In a joint operation between the Colombian Police and the Ecuadorian Police, Cristian Eduardo Pastor, known in the world of crime as alias ‘Gato Celis’, was captured in Cali. The detainee is wanted by the Ecuadorian justice system through a red Interpol notice for his alleged participation in organized crime crimes.

‘Gato Celis’ is considered one of the most wanted individuals in Ecuador. According to the authorities, he has a record of kidnapping, extortion and homicide, and is identified as the leader of the criminal organization called ‘Chone Killer’. This criminal network would be involved in kidnappings, extortion, drug trafficking and homicides within Ecuadorian territory.

The capture occurred thanks to international cooperation between the security forces of both countries, reinforcing coordination mechanisms to combat criminal networks that affect regional security.
