After voluntarily accepting the charges brought by the Attorney General’s Office, Deiver Jair Rodríguez Burgos was sentenced by a competent criminal judge to 30 years and 7 months in prison for his participation in the crime of the specialized prosecutor Karin Sefair Calderón, which occurred on June 10 in Fusagasugá (Cundinamarca).
The convicted person was declared responsible for the crimes aggravated homicide, aggravated robbery; and manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition; and must serve the sentence deprived of liberty in a prison establishment.
The investigation led by a prosecutor from the Cundinamarca Section showed that Rodríguez Burgos intercepted the victim in a parking lot in a shopping center in Fusagasugá, intimidated her with a firearm to deprive her of money that she had just withdrawn from a bank, and shot her first in the leg.
Later, with the prosecutor on the ground, he hit him, fired the firearm again, causing a wound in his abdomen, and seized a briefcase containing 128 million pesos. He then fled aboard a motorcycle that was waiting for him a few meters from the scene.
