The twelfth season of Formula E, the top electric car competition, begins this weekend in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

With qualifying and the race scheduled for Saturday, December 6, fans in Colombia will be able to follow the action live on Claro Sports.

Sao Paulo, which repeats as the starting point at the Anhembi Sambódromo street circuit, will serve as the first big thermometer of the grid, with a route known for its passing and tight closings.

This season marks the closing of the GEN3 Evo era, vehicles that, with their advanced acceleration and the implementation of all-wheel drive in key moments such as starts and Attack Mode, have raised the physical and tactical demands.

Furthermore, the championship is already looking to the future with the arrival of the GEN4 next season, promising more power and new aerodynamic solutions.

The driver grid was considerably renewed, highlighting the entry of Citroën as a new brand with a competitive couple (Nick Cassidy and Jean-Éric Vergne), and important movements such as the addition of António Félix da Costa to Jaguar and the debut of Felipe Drugovich as a full-time Andretti driver, racing at home.

Formula E 2025/26 starts in Brazil: Where to see it?

The preseason in Valencia, which featured the participation of Claro driver Tatiana Calderón, left Mahindra (with Edoardo Mortara and Nyck de Vries) leading some rounds, with Nissan and DS Penske very close, presaging high parity.

To make the races more attractive, the category has implemented changes to the format.

Qualifying has been accelerated, with group stages reduced to 10 minutes and duels with revised times.

Likewise, Attack Mode has been adjusted to maintain its unpredictability, eliminating the obligation to complete the total activation time.
