Minute30.com .- In the last few hours the Forensic Medicine opinion on the death of Jaime Esteban Moreno Jaramillo was known and has revealed important details.

The report confirms “severe head trauma and multiple trauma to the extremities and chest” as the cause of death, and classifying the manner of death as “violent homicide type.”

The death of Jaime Esteban Moreno Jaramillo, a student at the Universidad de los Andes, has shocked Colombia after a brutal attack that occurred in the early hours of October 31, 2025, during a Halloween party.

The victim was found near a nightclub on 64th Street and 15th Street, with serious injuries, after having attended a Halloween party at the Before Club bar, owned by Congresswoman María del Mar Pizarro and her partner, in eastern Bogotá. After being transferred, the young man died that same day at the Simón Bolívar Hospital due to severe head trauma.

Witnesses say that once Jaime Esteban fell to the floor due to the brutal kick allegedly given by the fourth person involved, blood began to flow from his mouth, evidencing the serious head injury that would be one of the causes of his death according to the expert report.

The Police reported that the fight that would have triggered the attack would have originated from an act of intolerance within the establishment but they made it clear that there were no knives involved.

First catches

In the judicial development of the case, Juan Carlos Suárez Ortiz, also a student from Los Andes, was sent to prison as the alleged perpetrator, while the women who accompanied him and for whom the lawsuit was allegedly initiated, the Venezuelan Kaleidymar Paola Fernández Sulbarán and Bertha Parra Torres, a native of the department of Cauca, were later released as insufficient evidence was found to link them to the direct attack.

However, a dark detail emerged with the appearance of new videos, which revealed the presence of a fourth person involved in the beating, whose identity, according to national media, would be Ricardo González Castro.

González is a 22-year-old young man, who apparently works selling hot dogs in the San Victorino sector, in the center of Bogotá, and it was his own boss who would have revealed his identity to the authorities, making him a key piece in clarifying the attack and the possible person responsible for the fatal blow that caused the severe trauma.

They legalized the capture of Juan Carlos and are looking for Ricardo

A judge legalized the capture of Juan Carlos Suárez Ortiz, a 27-year-old student from Los Andes, who was initially detained in flagrante delicto.

The Attorney General’s Office announced that the hearing to bring charges and request an intramural security measure will be held on November 5. The lawyer for the victim’s family has stated that he will request a charge of aggravated homicide, arguing that it was not a simple fight, but rather an out-and-out attack.

It was learned that Suárez Ortiz, although he does not have a criminal record, does have several notes for “behaviors contrary to coexistence”, such as sneaking into TransMilenio.

Search for the Fourth Involved: Ricardo González Castro

New security videos revealed the presence of a second attacker, a fourth involved in total, during the beating. This subject was identified by national media as Ricardo González Castro.

According to the Moreno family’s lawyer, the latter involved would be the one who inflicted the lethal blow that caused Jaime Esteban’s severe head trauma.

Ricardo González Castro is being actively searched by the authorities as his role in the violent brawl that cost Jaime Esteban his life is escalated.
