The city of Barranquilla became the meeting point for the future of national football by hosting the Comprehensive Formative Football Development Seminar.

Organized by the Colombian Football Federation (FCF) and CONMEBOL under the Fútbol con Futuro program, this academic event exceeded expectations by bringing together more than 150 participants.

The main objective was to inject knowledge and the latest global trends into the strengthening of Colombian grassroots football, bringing together a diverse audience that included league coaches, representatives of professional clubs, academies, foundations and schools.

The seminar offered a high-caliber setting, where interaction and multi-professional experience were protagonists.

Renowned figures in the world of football such as Gerardo Pelusso, Carlos ‘Piscis’ Restrepo, Pablo Nigro and Roberto Arroyo led the presentations.

Their presentations and conversations focused on sharing valuable learning extracted from their extensive careers in both formative and competitive football, providing attendees with practical and motivational perspectives on the development processes of young talents.

The meeting was developed successfully over two intense days, with the crucial support of the Mayor’s Office of Barranquilla.

The environment was conducive to the expansion of knowledge, the exchange of valuable ideas and the resolution of direct concerns regarding the challenges and great opportunities that youth football presents in Colombia.
