The Network Leader and the Tragic Encounter:
Among those detained is the alleged ringleader, Cristopher “N”, alias “El Comandante”. The Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Mexico (Edomex) confirmed that the Colombian musicians were supposed to meet this individual on September 16, the date on which they were last seen alive in Mexico City.

A Transnational Criminal Network of 16 Involved:
The dismantled criminal structure is international in nature. The operation resulted in the arrest of 16 people, of which six are Mexican and ten are foreigners, including men and women from Spain, Colombia, Cuba and Venezuela. The captures occurred on different days and places.
Direct link with Synthetic Drugs
The Edomex Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that the murders of B-King and Regio Clown are linked to a criminal environment of distribution and marketing of narcotics. Specifically, the sale of synthetic drugs from Colombia is mentioned, such as what is known as “2-CB (Tusi)” and “Coco Channel.”

The Mode Operandi of the Criminal Structure:
Investigations indicate that the network was not only dedicated to drug trafficking, but was related to a series of serious crimes that operated in parallel, such as extortion under the “drop by drop” modality, as well as deprivation of liberty and kidnapping.
A Case Supported by Technical and Testimonial Evidence:
The Prosecutor’s Office has guaranteed that the investigative acts incorporate a large amount of solid evidence, including information provided by witnesses, video monitoring from public and private cameras, open sources, court orders and multiple expert analyses.

Vehicle in which the Colombian artists were transported for their alleged meeting with “the commander”
According to the prosecutor’s office, it was established that alias “Pantera” had paid 200 thousand Mexican pesos (42 million Colombian pesos at the exchange rate on October 30) for the death of the two young people; Furthermore, the Mexican entity established that the attack was against Regio, who apparently had been selling synthetic drugs without permission.
Justice for Victims:
The arrests represent significant progress in the search for justice for the two Colombian musicians. The Mexican authorities reiterated their commitment to fully clarifying the facts and completely dismantling this dangerous criminal structure.
The Dismantling of this criminal cell is a clear message to transnational organizations that try to use Mexican territory for drug trafficking and extortion operations, affecting the lives of foreign and local citizens.
