CONMEBOL, through its Referees Commission, began the momentous Women’s VAR Certification on Thursday, December 11.

This training program is specifically aimed at referees from all its Member Associations, marking a firm commitment to the development and professionalization of refereeing in women’s football in South America.

This event highlights CONMEBOL’s constant commitment to the continuous training of refereeing professionals, with the primary objective of guaranteeing sporting justice within the field of play.

Led by the Referees Commission, the activity brings together outstanding referees to update knowledge, share valuable experiences and, crucially, consolidate the skills required for the correct and efficient implementation of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology in international competitions in the region.

During the intense certification sessions, participants will have the opportunity to delve deeper into key aspects of the system.
