Minute30.com .- A few minutes ago, the Medellín Metro reported a serious impact on the operation of Line A. Due to an incident with a person on the track, the system was forced to shorten its route, leaving the entire northern section of the city and the municipality of Bello without service.

Starting at 5:46 pm this Thursday, commercial service is provided only between La Estrella and Universidad stations.

Due to the emergency, the following six stations are temporarily closed:

Impact on mobility

The closure occurs in the middle of rush hour, which has generated large crowds at the stations, where the trains are returning. Users heading north are recommended to look for transportation alternatives such as integrated bus routes or public service buses that travel on the North Highway.

Emergency personnel and the Metro Police are already at the scene of the incident carrying out the corresponding protocols.

It is expected that the operation will be reestablished once the judicial authorities carry out the necessary work, a process that could take a couple of hours.
