Without realizing it, and while he was in a deep sleep, the young man inhaled carbon monoxide, an odorless, colorless gas that is lethal in closed spaces.

This “silent death” prevented Duván from being able to react or call for help. His companions or local authorities would have found the body hours later, confirming the fateful outcome that today separates this man from Córdoba from his land and his family.
