Colombia shone at the Rio Indoor World Series 250 archery, held from December 12 to 14 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, by winning two important individual titles.

With this victory they demonstrated the high level of Colombian archery in this Indoor World Series competition, the world’s largest indoor archery competition.
The Colombian delegation attended this high-level event with five athletes, including three Olympic archers qualified for Paris 2024.
Alejandra Usquiano’s performance on the compound bow was spectacular and full of drama.
After finishing fourth in the qualifier, the Colombian made her way into the knockout rounds by overcoming demanding challenges, including a shoot-off in the round of 16.
The climax came in the semifinals, where she faced the number one in the world ranking, the Mexican Andrea Becerra, whom she defeated in a tense tiebreaker.

Usquiano sealed her championship by defeating another Mexican, Dafne Quintero, with a final score of 147-144, crowning an epic day.
For his part, the young goalkeeper Andrés Hernández dominated the U21 recurve category. Hernández led the qualification with a score of 574.
