Millions of Colombians were surprised this Tuesday, February 3, by a general interruption in the services of Nequi, the most used digital financial services platform in the country. Since the early hours of the day, users have reported the inability to access their accounts, make transfers and make commercial payments.

According to the entity’s official monitoring portal, the failure is systemic and affects all main channels. Among the services that have zero availability are:

Login to the App: Users encounter error messages when trying to log in.

Silver shipping: Transfers between Nequi accounts and to other banks are disabled.

Recharges and Withdrawals: It is not possible to inject capital into the application or make withdrawals at ATMs in the Bancolombia network or banking correspondents.

Payments with Nequi Card and QR: E-commerce and payments in physical establishments have also been disrupted.

Entity response

Through its digital channels and its service status page, Nequi has confirmed that its technical team is working to restore normality.

This drop generates a strong impact on the economic mobility of the day, especially for independent merchants and citizens who depend exclusively on the digital wallet for their daily transactions. Users are recommended to avoid making transfers from other bank accounts to Nequi until the stability of the system is confirmed to prevent money from being “in the air” or dammed.

For now, the entity has not given an estimated time of return to normality, urging customers to check the status of services directly on its support website.
