Minute30.com .- The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Colombia registered a slight rebound in October 2025. The annual variation stood at 5.51%, exceeding the figure for the same month of the previous year by 0.10 percentage points. This result maintains pressure on the cost of living of Colombians.
What went up the most?
The monthly variation of the CPI was 0.18% and was mainly driven by expenses in Recreation and culture (0.81%) and Health (0.65%). The largest price increases were seen in:
Complete tourist packages (3.36%) and cinemas and theaters (3.00%).
Pharmaceutical products (0.94%) and specialized medical consultations (0.34%).
The Largest Annual Increases
In the annual analysis, the divisions that have increased the cost of living the most are:
Restaurants and hotels: with the highest annual variation, reaching 7.61%.
Education: with the second largest increase, registering 7.34% annually.
Good News: Food Drops
The only division that gave households a break was Food and non-alcoholic beverages, which registered a negative monthly variation of -0.35%, this being the lowest variation of the month.
The Cities with the Most Pressuren
At the regional level, according to DANE, the cities that registered the highest annual variation in inflation in October were:
Bucaramanga: 6.17%
Pereira: 6.02%
Villavicencio: 5.99%
