This Friday, February 13, Colombian skier Fredrik Fodstad completed his third participation in the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
On this occasion, the national athlete competed in the 10-kilometer individual cross-country skiing test, held at the Tesero Stadium in the freestyle and interval start mode, where technical precision and net time are the determining factors for the final classification.
The day for the representative of Colombia began at 11:45 am European time. From the early stages, Fodstad sought to maintain a consistent pace, recording a time of 4:30.3 as he crossed the 1.8 kilometer mark.
As the competition progressed and the physical wear and tear increased, the skier reached 4.9 kilometers with a time of 14:10, momentarily placing himself in 103rd position in the general table.
In the last section of the race, over 8.6 kilometers, Fodstad managed to slightly improve his position by clocking 23:52.3, placing him in 101st place.

Finally, the Colombian crossed the finish line with a total time of 27 minutes and 35 seconds, securing box 101 of the final classification in a highly physically and technically demanding test.
The competition podium was dominated by the European powers. Norwegian Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo won the gold medal with a time of 20:36, closely followed by Frenchman Mathis Desloges, who took silver with a time of 20:41.
The bronze went to the Norwegian Einar Hedegart, who closed his participation with a time of 20:50.
After completing this challenge, Fredrik Fodstad already has his sights set on his last appearance in these Olympic events.
The Colombian will return to action next Saturday, February 21 to compete in the 50 kilometers with a mass start, one of the most strenuous tests on the calendar that will be run in classic style and where all competitors will begin the course simultaneously.
