The San Siro Stadium, in Milan, was the place chosen for the start of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games. Fredrik Fodstad is the Colombian quota who paraded and accompanied the Olympic flame with clothing that pays tribute to Colombian natural and cultural wealth.

Inspired by the natural landscapes of Colombia, the majesty of the Andes mountain range and the richness of the traditional patterns of the vueltiao hat, the uniform transforms the spirit of the nation into a living expression of movement, culture and identity.

Precisely, the design reflects the textures of the Colombian mountains, the rhythm of its people and the vitality of its heritage, combining tradition with modern innovation in a way that honors both the past and the future.

This design is the result of a collaboration between renowned Japanese designer Kazuki Kuraishi and Neighborhood, marking the first time a streetwear brand has participated in an Olympic Opening Ceremony.

The national delegation’s attire not only represents national pride, but also celebrates the long-standing cultural connection between Colombia and Japan.

Guided by principles of efficiency, sustainability and harmony with our shared planet, an idea inspired by Buckminster Fuller’s vision of “Spaceship Earth”, the design symbolizes the unity between humanity, nature and sport on the world stage.

“The Colombian Olympic Committee officially presents the clothing revealed for the first time at the Olympic Fashion Show, a design that has received international recognition and has been widely highlighted as one of the most notable collections of the Games,” said Hélder Navarro, Colombian Head of Mission for the Games.

A limited release to the public of some pieces from the collection will soon take place. This special edition will have a charitable nature, and the funds raised will be destined to support and strengthen the Colombian Winter Sports Program.

Through this initiative, the project transcends the stage, generating opportunities for future athletes and reinforcing Colombia’s continued commitment to development and excellence in winter sports.
