The Colombian Men’s Senior National Team closed its participation in the group stage of the CONMEBOL Copa América de Futsal Paraguay 2026 after drawing 2-2 against its counterpart from Chile.
The match, played at the COP Arena Óscar Harrison in Luque, showed absolute parity during the first twenty minutes, where the score remained intact with a 0-0 score that reflected the tactical order of both squads.
For this commitment, the national team took the field with a starting quintet made up of goalkeeper José Sánchez, accompanied by Ronald Solórzano, Felipe Echavarría, Sebastián Sánchez and Luis Posada.
The intensity increased considerably in the second half of the match, a period in which the nets finally broke and emotions arrived for the spectators present in Paraguayan territory.

The Colombian offensive managed to prevail momentarily thanks to the scores of Cristian Neme in the 18th minute and Felipe Echavarría in the 19th minute.
Despite the advantage achieved in the final stretch of the game, the Chilean team managed to react to seal the final tie at two goals, thus closing the fourth round of the continental tournament for the tricolor team.
With this result, the Colombian National Team is now preparing to compete for fifth place in the competition.
The rival will be Uruguay, in a match scheduled for next Sunday, February 1 at 9:30 am (Colombian time), where the team will seek to say goodbye to the tournament with a victory that positions it in the best way in the general classification.
