The Colombian Baseball Federation officially confirmed this Friday, February 6, the list of 30 players who will represent the country in the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

The international competition, which brings together the best teams on the planet, will take place from March 5 to 17 with venues in the United States, Japan and Puerto Rico.

The coffee roster presents a strategic balance between established figures in the Major Leagues and emerging talents that shine on the Caribbean and Japanese circuits.

The pitching staff will be led by experienced left-hander José Quintana, who will assume the role of team captain.

Along with him, veteran arms such as Julio Teherán, Nabil Crismatt, Luis Patiño and Tayron Guerrero stand out.

The pitching staff is completed with Elkin Alcalá, Austin Bergner, Danis Correa, Pedro García, David Lorduy, Emerson Martínez, Jhon Romero, Guillo Zúñiga, Adrián Almeida, Rio Gómez and Reiver Sanmartín, forming a solid group to face the rival bats.

In the infield and outfield, Colombia will have a high-caliber offense led by Gio Urshela, Donovan Solano and Harold Ramírez.

The infield is completed by Michael Arroyo, Jordan Díaz, Dayan Frías and Reynaldo Rodríguez, while in the outfield there will be Brayan Buelvas, Gustavo Campero and Jesús Marriaga.

For its part, the receivership will be protected by the power of Jorge Alfaro and Elías Díaz, accompanied by Carlos Martínez.

Colombia defines its arsenal for the 2026 World Baseball Classic

Colombia will begin its journey in Group A, based at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The debut is scheduled for Friday, March 6 against the hosts at 6:00 pm. Subsequently, the national team will face Canada on Saturday, March 7 at 11:00 am, will clash against Cuba on Sunday, March 8 at the same time and will close the group stage on Monday, March 9 against Panama.

The format of the tournament establishes that the two best teams in each group will advance to the quarterfinals, which will be played under direct elimination modality on March 13 and 14.

The semifinals are scheduled for the 15th and 16th of the same month, culminating with the grand final on Tuesday, March 17 in the city of Miami, where the new world champion will be crowned.
