The Bogotá Police reported the capture of two men involved in a robbery at a jewelry store in the Britalia neighborhood, town of Suba. During the operation, the uniformed officers recovered jewelry valued at more than 10 million pesos and found a pistol-type firearm in the possession of the detainees.
According to Major Milton Pachón Rojas, commander of the Suba Station, the incident occurred when the individuals entered the establishment and stole several pieces of jewelry. “Thanks to the quick reaction of the authorities and after a chase with an exchange of shots, we managed to subdue these two people,” he explained.

One of those captured was transferred to a care center, while the other had a record for different crimes and was wearing an Inpec electronic bracelet.

The Police recalled that so far in 2025, there has been a 26% decrease in shoplifting, with 2,537 fewer cases compared to 2024. In addition, during this period more than 31,462 people have been captured for different crimes.
The authorities called on citizens to report any criminal act or act that threatens coexistence through Emergency Line 123, highlighting that these complaints are essential to strengthen the investigative processes and guarantee sanctions to those responsible.
