The murder of Jean Claude Bossard, a 29-year-old young man from Barranquilla, which occurred at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, December 2, on 19th Avenue and 108th Street, continues to shake the north of Bogotá.
The attack, carried out by two criminals who were traveling on an orange motorcycle, occurred after the victim resisted a robbery. The criminals shot him at point-blank range and fled, leaving the body lying on the road.
However, what happened seconds later changed the course of the chase. A police patrolman who was making his rounds on a bicycle along the platform heard the shots and saw the orange motorcycle trying to escape. His reaction was recorded in a video that today is a key piece in the investigation.

The uniformed man let go of the bicycle, descended onto the road and confronted the two criminals head on.
The video shows the moment when the griller points directly at the police officer, forcing him to act to protect his life and prevent escape. The patrolman drew his service weapon and opened fire as the criminals accelerated north.

The scene reflects the exchange of shots in the middle of the road and the determination of the uniformed officer, whose immediate reaction put an end to the escape of a gang accused of multiple robberies in the area.
Neighbors in the sector reported that the same criminals had already participated in robberies recorded on security cameras, in which they intimidated their victims with knives or firearms before fleeing on the same orange motorcycle.
The action of the patrol car became the only block between the murderers and their escape, preventing them from continuing to commit crimes and allowing progress in identifying those responsible. The authorities continue with the investigation to find the capture of the gang involved in this violent murder.
