The Cali Metropolitan Police activated an extensive security plan in Cali on the occasion of the Halloween celebration, for Friday, October 31.

The device will have the deployment of more than 1,300 uniformed personnel throughout the city to guarantee the protection of children and adolescents.

Brigadier General Henry Yesid Bello, commander of the Metropolitan Police, reported that the operational plan includes preventive support in the 22 communes, presence in parks, shopping centers and residential areas, in addition to traffic controls and fixed and mobile posts in the main road corridors.

For his part, the Secretary of Security of Cali, Jairo García, recalled that the restriction on male grillers is still in force, so he called on citizens to abide by the measure to avoid sanctions.

The “Archangel” plan was also activated in gourmet and high-traffic areas, where surveillance will be reinforced to prevent crimes such as theft, the loss of minors and the consumption of psychoactive substances.

Likewise, cameras from the MIO, the Valle Automotive Diagnostic Center and other private entities will be integrated into the Integrated Emergency and Security System (SIES) to optimize the reaction to any emergency.

General Bello called on parents to be extremely careful: do not leave minors alone, verify the origin of the candy and report any anomaly to emergency line 123 or the ICBF (line 141).
