Colombia seeks in the badminton, BMX Freestyle, weightlifting, wrestling, MTB, swimming, archery and sports shooting events to add medals at the XX Bolivarian Games Ayacucho-Lima 2025.

The National Sports Village (Videna) will host four sports on this day, starting with badminton.

Colombia will participate with five athletes in the mixed team modality (quarterfinals with direct elimination), against Guatemala.

The competition system for the other events contemplates a group classification, followed by quarterfinals, semifinals and finals, with the last day of competitions being Thursday, November 27.

On the other hand, the emotions of weightlifting begin, where the prizes will correspond to the snatch and clean and jerk.

The national delegation, made up of 15 weightlifters, will compete in 15 of the 16 weight divisions in two simultaneous areas of competition.

The Olympic runners-up in Paris 2024, Yeison López and Mari Leivis Sánchez, are the most prominent Colombian athletes present in the discipline, which will run until next Tuesday, the 25th of this month.

The Videna velodrome receives nine national wrestlers who will compete in the freestyle and Greco-Roman modalities in a direct elimination competition system (with repechage) until next Tuesday.

BMX Freestyle and other disciplines that are going for gold in the Bolivarian Games

Tatiana Rentería is the most outstanding Colombian athlete, since among her many international achievements, the bronze medal in the last Paris 2024 Olympic Games stands out.

The activity in La Videna will continue at the Aquatic Center with swimming races, a discipline that will conclude on Wednesday, November 26.

19 national athletes will compete in the contest that includes 41 events, divided into 34 individual events and seven relays, highlighting the presence of the experienced Jorge Mario Murillo and the multiple medalist from the previous Olympic cycle, Karen Durango.

The Costa Verde Pan American Complex will host the BMX Freestyle competition in the men’s and women’s park modality.

Four Colombians will compete in the discipline that includes a qualifying and final round in each branch.

Queen Saray Villegas is the most outstanding national rider, since among her multiple results she has the Olympic Diploma in Paris 2024.

For its part, the Las Palmas Shooting Range will be the headquarters for the sports shooting competitions, until Tuesday, November 25.

This discipline will have male, female and mixed competitions, with the Colombian delegation made up of 10 athletes (nine men and one woman). Our country will compete in the rifle, shotgun and pistol events.

The national day will have the participation of archery, until next Thursday, at the Athletic Stadium of the Andrés Avelino Cáceres Sports Complex.

The Colombian team will have the participation of 12 athletes, six in each type of bow, where the tests contemplated correspond to individual, team and mixed team in both compound and recurve.

Each bow will have a different distance in the aforementioned competitions, being 70 meters for recurve and 50 for compound.

Alejandra Usquiano (compound), Ana María Rendón (recurve), Jorge Enríquez (recurve) and Santiago Arcila (recurve) are the most prominent national archers in the delegation.

They have extensive experience, especially from participation in the Chengdu 2025 World Games and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, respectively.
