A shame of international stature that Colombia is experiencing on behalf of the U-17 National Team that participated in the World Cup in Qatar.
The ‘tricolor’ was eliminated, as reported by Minuto30, after losing 2-0 to France in the round of 32.
The elimination, of course painful, does not justify in any way the horrible relief that was seen on the field thanks to
French journalist Loïc Tanzi from Journaliste L’Equipe, through his X account @Tanziloic, published a video that showed the seriousness of what happened.
As you will remember, by FIFA protocol, the official broadcast does not broadcast fights, pitch invasions, however, what happened did not go beyond low.
The images are absolutely painful and in them you can see a group of players from the Colombian National Team chasing those from France.
With kicks and fists, our team ended up attacking the rivals who took them out of the World Cup.
Bad losers? Global shame of the Colombian U-17 National Team after being eliminated by France
The French, who are clearly not kids, responded to the attacks with their fists and finally everything ended up getting out of control.
Loïc Tanzi, in his publication, revealed that the relatives of several of the French players entered the field or at least tried to try to protect the dreams.
The journalist clarified that the intention of the people who came down from the stands was not to attack those of the ‘tricolor’.
The fight would have broken out after the second goal, in which apparently several French players mocked ours, which generated collective anger.
In any case, the embarrassing incident will surely escalate before FIFA and both players and the Federation could be heavily sanctioned.
If the provocation is confirmed, the French National Team and its players could also be sanctioned.
So far, the Colombian Football Federation has not commented on these serious events in Qatar.
