At the end of the year and with the flow of cargo at its peak due to the festivities, the National Government has made a new adjustment in fuel prices official. Since last December 20, 2025, the gallon of diesel (ACPM) in Colombia registered an increase of $100, breaking a stability that had been maintained since October.
The measure, adopted through Circular 219 of 2025 of the CREG, establishes that the average value of diesel in the 13 main cities of the country is now located at $10,885. This is the first movement in the price of this fuel in almost two months, after its last modification on October 24.
Accumulated increases and stability in gasoline
With this new December adjustment, diesel closes 2025 with a total accumulated increase of $637 per gallon so far this year. On the other hand, drivers of private vehicles and motorcycles receive a respite, since the price of regular motor gasoline remains stable, with a national average of $15,967 per gallon.

Impact on the basic basket and transportation
The increase of $100, although it seems minor, generates a chain reaction in the logistical costs of transporting food and merchandise in the last week of the year. Transport unions have expressed their concern, since freight rates tend to be adjusted in response to any movement in the fuel sector, which represents close to 40% of their operating costs.
From Minuto30, we continue to monitor the decisions of the CREG and the Ministry of Mines to report in a timely manner on how these changes affect the pockets of Antioquians and all Colombians.
