Minute30.com .- The Mayor’s Office of Bogotá, led by Carlos Fernando Galán, confirmed this Friday the new fare adjustment for the city’s mass transportation system.

Starting next Wednesday, January 14, 2026, the value of the TransMilenio (core) and SITP (zonal) ticket will be unified at $3,550; which represents an increase of 10.9%.

The decision seeks to reduce the deficit of the Tariff Stabilization Fund (FET) and guarantee the sustainability of the operation of the system, which faces structural financial challenges.

What about the benefits?

The district administration clarified that, despite the general increase, the benefits for vulnerable populations will be maintained:

Seniors and Sisbén: Partial subsidies are expected to continue for people with specific Sisbén IV scores and adults over 62 years of age.

Transfers: The cost of transferring between buses (from $0 within the time allowed with a personalized card) will remain in force to encourage the use of the integrated system.

The challenge of the “sneaked passage”

The goal for 2026 is to significantly reduce the “collapse” rate, which would allow, in the future, to stabilize rates without depending exclusively on annual increases to the user.

Citizens are recommended to personalize their ‘Tullave’ card so as not to lose the transfer benefits and credit trips offered by the system.
