What began as an intense search operation ended in tragedy this afternoon. The relief authorities and the Colombian Aerospace Force confirmed the discovery of the remains of the Beechcraft 1900 plane, registration HK-4709, which crashed while covering the Cúcuta – Ocaña route.

No survivors at the scene

After hours of uncertainty after the plane exhausted its flight range at 2:00 p.m., the rescue teams managed to locate the point of impact in an area that was difficult to access. Unfortunately, the official report indicates that there are no survivors among the 15 people who were on board (13 passengers and 2 crew members).

Causes under investigation

The fact that the emergency beacon was not activated initially made locating efforts by the SAR Group difficult. Experts from the Civil Aeronautics Accident Investigation Technical Directorate are already traveling to the area to begin the corresponding investigations and determine the exact causes of the accident, analyzing climatic and technical factors of the aircraft operated by SEARCA.

Attention! Apparently they found the missing plane: video and photo circulate and there would be no survivors
