Fortunately, the incident left no people injured, neither among the uniformed Police nor among the civilians in the sector. However, the explosion did cause considerable damage to the physical structure of the Charco Azul CAI.
A Canine Was Injured
The only direct victim of the explosion was a small dog from the area that was apparently near the police facilities. After the detonation, the Environmental Police went to the scene and took charge of the immediate transfer of the injured animal so that it could receive the necessary veterinary care.
The Judicial Police (SIJIN) and SIPOL are currently in the area, carrying out an exhaustive “lock plan” in the search for the people accused of having perpetrated this terrorist action. Authorities are working to collect evidence and identify those responsible.
