The department of Antioquia, recognized as an epicenter of Colombian skating, is preparing to say goodbye to the 2025 national racing calendar with the holding of the Speed ​​Grand Prix.

The competition will take place on the world championship track in the municipality of Guarne and will bring together athletes from the minor, transition and senior categories in an event that will last ten days, consolidating the region as a bastion of this sport at the national level.

The sports day begins this Friday, December 4, extending until Sunday, with the Minors Festival.

Skaters in the mini categories (7, 8 and 9 years old) and pre-infant categories (10 years old) will compete in exciting tests such as the 200 meters goal against goal, skill, Olympic and points test.

Starting on Monday, the track will welcome the transition category, with challenges that include the 200 meters finish line, 6,000 meter elimination, Return to the Circuit and the 6,000 meter points test.

The climax of the Grand Prix will begin on Thursday, December 10, when the junior, youth and senior categories come into action in both branches.

These elite skaters will compete until Sunday, December 14, offering the most spectacular close to an event that traditionally attracts the best talent in the country.

A high competitive level is expected, given the importance of the Guarne track and the prestige of being the last major event of the year.

With the conclusion of this Grand Prix of Speed, Antioquia culminates an exceptional sporting year in skating, demonstrating its organizational capacity and commitment to the discipline.

2025 already hosted major events such as the Pan American Championship of Clubs and Nations in Envigado, Guarne and Medellín, several National Interclub Racing Championships, and the Artistic and SP Hockey Interleague Championships.

Without a doubt, these events reaffirmed the role of the region as an undisputed leader in the promotion and development of Colombian skating.
