After the recent complaint of alleged sexual abuse that has shaken the Alianza Lima environment, footballers Carlos Zambrano, Sergio Peña and Miguel Trauco issued official statements to establish their position.
The three players agreed on an absolute rejection of any form of violence against women and categorically denied their participation in the crimes of which they are accused, expressing their total willingness to collaborate with the judicial authorities.
Carlos Zambrano was emphatic in pointing out that the versions released so far are “partial and inaccurate,” which has generated significant media damage to his career.
The defense explained that his initial silence was due to the need to formally know the content of the complaint.
“I am calm about what happened and I trust that Justice will act objectively,” said the player, who stressed that he remains available to the competent entities to clarify the facts.
