The Colombia Women’s Senior National Team closed its participation in the third day of the CONMEBOL Liga Evolución with a 1-1 draw, after facing Bolivia this Friday, September 28 at the Hernando Siles stadium in La Paz.
The match was characterized by intensity and opportunities on both sides, although the national team saw how luck was not on their side in the first half.
Colombia tried to take the lead in the opening minutes, but the plays of Valerin Loboa and Yiirleides Quejada, the latter after a cross from Daniela Arias, were annulled by the refereeing body due to an offside position.
The situation became complicated at the beginning of the second half. The Bolivian team, ‘La Verde’, came out with high pressure and managed to open the scoring in the 46th minute.

Despite the disadvantage, the Colombian team did not give up and found its reward in the final stretch of the match.
In the 75th minute, Gabriela Rodríguez achieved equality, finishing an excellent collective play after receiving a precise cross from Marcela Restrepo. The score of 1-1 remained until the end of the match.
Colombia lined up with Katherine Tapia (A); Carolina Arias, Danielas Arias, Manuela Vanegas, Yirleidis Quejada; Marcela Restrepo, Ilana Izquierdo, Gabriela Rodríguez; Wendey Bonilla, Valerin Loboa and Linda Caicedo.
With this result, the Senior Women’s Team will meet its rest date during the fourth day of the tournament.
