On the afternoon of this Thursday, February 5, it has become complex for drivers traveling through the north of Medellín. Due to the rainfall that is hitting the Aburrá Valley, a large branch fell right at the exit of the Livestock Fair.
There are already mobility agents on site regulating the flow of vehicles, while the work is being coordinated to remove plant material from the road.
Authorities have urgently called on drivers to drive with caution, as wet pavement and reduced visibility increase the risk of accidents.

It is recommended to look for alternative routes if you are heading north, since passage through the Livestock Fair sector is restricted to a single lane.

According to the latest report from the Early Warning System (SIATA), moderate to high intensity rainfall continues to mainly affect the municipalities of Medellín, Bello and Girardota. In other areas such as Envigado and Copacabana, rains remain at a low intensity, but monitoring is constant.
SIATA experts predict that these weather conditions will persist for at least half an hour longer, so new effects on other road corridors cannot be ruled out.
Citizens are reminded to be attentive to the levels of the streams and avoid stopping under trees or structures that may represent a danger during storms.
